Investment Associate  

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced individual to work on our Investment Consultancy service in our Advisory team based in Clifton, Bristol.

This team provides a high level, quality service on a professional and personal basis, that reflects our clients’ needs and expectations, helping our clients to set their investment strategy. 

You will offer technical support and improve current systems where possible; ensure accurate and up-to-date investment data and reporting information is presented to Consultants, third parties, clients, auditors, fund managers and internal staff; ensure that the team work effectively, following and introducing work flow and checking systems; responding to requests and queries and act as an interface between Trigon and other service providers.

The individual will:

  • Be able to communicate effectively with clients, senior personnel and Directors
  • Have excellent numeracy skills and excel spreadsheet skills
  • Produce work that has a high level of accuracy
  • Be able effectively prioritise and organise their own workload/the team’s workload
  • Have the ability to delegate effectively to junior team members
  • Understand the process of risk management
  • Ideally have an understanding of pension scheme liabilities
  • Ideally have an interest/understanding of economics and asset classes

Duties will include:   

  • Co-ordinate fund manager research meetings and report writing
  • Preparation of investment strategy reviews
  • Co-ordination of investment transactions
  • Preparation of economic updates and supporting documentation for client meetings
  • Client specific investment research projects
  • Develop and maintain systems to collate and analyse data for client reporting
  • Analysis of actuarial data to determine de-risking opportunities and long-term investment strategy
  • Preparation of scheme performance reports and valuations, advice letters and presentations
  • Assisting with and coordinating high level administration tasks
  • Carrying out compliance checking
  • Attendance at internal meetings as and when required
  • Providing support to the Consultants and Directors

The benefit package includes 25 days holiday, immediate life assurance cover, membership of our group pension arrangement a discretionary bonus scheme after 6 months service.  Working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
